Matter Labs, the developer of ZKsync, has open-sourced the code for the Prividium permissioning engine, a DLT platform designed for financial institutions, according to The Block.

The same report states that the Bundesbank is testing the platform; available materials do not specify which functions the German central bank is verifying or at what stage the testing stands.

The significance of the event relates to infrastructure for financial organizations: while the open component allows for independent study, the single report from The Block is insufficient to judge Prividium's readiness for broad adoption or the results of the trials.
