According to reports, Pakistan has launched a new unit within the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) dedicated exclusively to combating digital asset crimes. The initiative aims to strengthen oversight of the growing cryptocurrency sector and counter illegal operations.

Muhammad Atar Wahid, an FIA representative, proposed that other major government agencies establish similar specialized teams. Such a measure is deemed necessary to effectively address crypto-related criminal issues, which require a narrowly focused approach.

Information regarding the creation of the unit is corroborated by independent industry publications noting the authorities' move to tighten law enforcement. The actions of Pakistani regulators reflect a global trend toward integrating crypto supervision into the work of traditional law enforcement structures.
