Exodus, the company behind self-custody cryptocurrency wallets, has decided to cut 25% of its global workforce. This personnel change marks the first step in implementing the project's new development strategy.

The staff reduction is aimed at financing a complete transition of the business model. The company is moving away from reliance on in-app cryptocurrency swap fees in favor of developing a full-stack payment system.

The new strategic direction involves launching cards for stablecoin operations and building infrastructure for settlements. Resources freed up by reducing headcount will be reallocated to constructing this new financial stack.
