BIP editors removed Luke Dashjr's editor and administrator access to the BIPs repository. According to The Defiant, this occurred approximately 26 hours after Mark "Murch" Erhardt submitted a petition to the developers' mailing list, and two days after the BIP-110 fork was stalled.

Dashjr called the allegations false. Shortly before the removal was confirmed, he also announced a creative leave from the Ocean mining pool. The significance of this decision is currently limited to repository governance procedures: the available material does not confirm the reasons, the reaction of other editors, or any impact on Bitcoin itself.
